Knowledge (Human) and Wisdom (Spirit)

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for July 02, 2008:
When I meditate of the differences between knowledge and wisdom I find myself comparing them to the relationship between human and spirit.
Knowledge seems to be something (information?) that our human minds can conceptualize, can understand and organize, can accumulate and apply, can seek and find. It's like raw material the ego can utilize for the purpose of its expression out into the world. Knowledge, however, can only be a trigger, a pointer as Eckhart Tolle might say, or a door way even, to an impulse that comes from beyond where and what our minds can comprehend.
That brings me to wisdom. Wisdom, it seems to me, comes from a place that is higher and deeper than our material physical world and therefore beyond the mind. The mind may reduce it to knowledge but wisdom is the creative impulse of "All That Is", expressing itself in one of an infinite number of facets so as to awaken a soul experiencing human-ness....to itself in some way.
Just as our human experience and our soul existence work hand in hand to contribute to the evolution of consciousness (not that I REALLY understand how this all works :-), knowledge and wisdom must also work hand in hand to activate and awaken.
So, in an attempt to summarize... I guess I'd say that...
Wisdom is Inspiration and Awareness that comes from the realm of Spirit, Soul and God whereas Knowledge perhaps is the reduction of that impulse to something the mind can digest and co-create with here in our material world.
Ok, that's my best shot! Thanks!
